How does the white and black smoke occur from the vehicle?
White smoke – Caused by the wear and tear of internal engine parts. Makes engine oil escape into the cylinder. If it is mixed with fuel, it can’t burn completely. If the escaping smoke is exposed to lower temperatures and humidity, white smoke will therefore escape through the exhaust pipe.
Black smoke – caused by the diesel oil, which has to be heated and pressured for ignition. At some moments, combustion is incomplete. This results in a lot of soot escaping at the end of the exhaust pipe, which turns into black smoke.
White and black smoke is probably a sign of a problem with the engine. If you have not taken care of it for too long, it can cause major problems with the engine. This also applies to the health of other drivers on the same road as you.
Please always pay attention to the condition of the vehicle and change the engine oil when the prescribed cycle is reached. Choose engine oil that is efficient to maintain and extend the life of the engine.
